Set in the foreground of a comically frenetic Silicon Valley youth group, If You Don’t Go to Heaven follows the son of a disgraced pastor who wants to lead the church that fired his dad. A palimpsest of father and son, the novel’s three books embody a Biblical shape of Prophets, Gospels, and Epistles to explore how lies and secrets reshape and distort a family’s legacy. Sub-textually, its mutating narratives and unraveling truths speak to this cultural era’s proclivity for conspiracy, cynicism and hoax.
I am actively seeking an agent for this debut novel.
